As he posted in his personal blog, Danny Sullivan confirmed about his signing off from Search Engine Watch (SEW) and most probably from Search Engine Strategies (SES) Conference Series. Even though there is only a Slim chance – in his own words – to turn back, but according to him , it’s a very slim chance. His current contract is getting expired on 3oth of November, 2006, Danny says, they have not been able to agree on a new one.
What will happen to Danny? What will happen to SEW?, these questions are creating high interests in public discussions, but only Danny can say about this. Danny has a great experience in the industry and he can’t sit idle without contributing. He will be working, may be a new site, may be offering consultations or may be a book itself, only Danny can let us know.
We all know his contributions to SEW are undebatable ones, we don’t know much about what is happening behind the scenes, but one thing is for sure, this is going to affect the day- to-day practices there. I remember once Danny Sullivan posted about his daily routine at SEW, and cool to be get read along with this situation.
See some expressions from his fans:
“This is the End of an Era!”
“It’s really bad news for the search engine related community. I can fully understand his reason for departing though. It has me wondering about a number of things….”
“To most people (I think), including me, Danny *is* SEW and SES, and I wonder what will happen to them now. ”
“SEW & SES won’t be (the same) without the man who started it all.”
“I’m sure that new and thrilling challenges are yet to come, wishing you nothing but pure success.”
A Word from the Author:
I am not a member over there at SEW, am not sure why, but I am comfort with the crowd around me at SeoRefugee. I started with them at SeoChat and I just followed my masters to SEOR. I used to read some topics which made interest but don’t have a deep relation with SEW community or Danny. So better option to get updated in this, will be as follows:
