Google is dropping out the old GAP (Google Advertising professionals) program while starting a new one in the name of Google AdWords Certification program (GCP). They have updated the program Terms & Conditions for Individual accounts as well for Company account. The new system is tough and its standards has been improved, tells Google. If you already are a certified professional, a grace period of 6 months has been given to you to upgrade to the new certification.
The exams cost and the registration procedures are looks like the same, just the exam format is changed. A passing score for the Fundamentals exam is 85%. The best part of this new system is that there is no minimum spend requirement to be Individually Qualified.
The new system contains four exam topics, ‘Google Advertising Fundamentals Exam’, ‘Search Advertising Advanced Exam’, Display Advertising Exam and Reporting & Analysis Advanced Exam. In order to become certified, you must pass both the Google Advertising Fundamentals exam as well as one of the three advanced exams.
